I think it’s safe to say that we all love a plump pillow— but to chop or not to chop? Let’s talk about the “chop”— I personally love a good chopped pillow, while others do not. The choice is really up to you.
When executed well, chopped pillows can create a polished, structured look that brings sophistication, elegance, and luxury to any room. Chopping pillows is a way to make a square pillow appear full and plush. To achieve a clean chop use your hand to execute an authoritative chop in the center of the pillow to push the corners outwards. My favorite trick and I often suggest is to use a pillow insert that is approximately 2 inches bigger than the pillow cover, this ensures that you have a fat cushion that doesn't limp.
On my website, you can find the upsize suggestions chart for purchasing inserts by the size of your pillow cover. When you purchase any of my pillows, it comes with an upsized insert.
